Owner
Kieron
I have been a passionate horticulturist for 33 years. I have always been fascinated by the natural world and am privileged to have made a career out of it. I was a founding member of Greengold Nursery in 1995 and have enjoyed thirty years here in the nursery. I have met many great people, both customers and my team, over the years and I look forward to many more years ahead. My favourite tree is the Japanese maple and favourite flower is the daffodil.
The backbone of my business is my team and my wife Diane. Diane has been the team's strength in the background, running the books, organising our events, and supporting us with endless plant hunting expeditions and gift fairs.
Manager
Mitch
I have always found inspiration and peace through nature and being outside. I have a great appreciation for the roles that plants and trees play in our world. Having been able to work at Greengold Nursery over the past 13 years has helped me develop that understanding in a deeper way. I’m also interested in perennial gardens and landscape design, as well as growing plants for both food and production purposes.
Supervisor
Blake
The labour and satisfaction of gardening led me to pursue a career in horticulture, and I have been a qualified horticulturist now for seven years. Working at Greengold Nursery has allowed me to be creative with garden planning and helping problem solve as one of many plant doctors at the nursery. I find most plants fascinating and enjoy finding out what makes each one unique. My favourite plant family is Proteaceae for their amazing flower displays.

Robin
To be honest when I first started, I found plants boring and had no interest in the horticultural world. I was mainly hired to do the heavy lifting and general maintenance of the nursery. Overtime I became sick of getting asked questions and not knowing the answers which pushed me into studying it. This will be my 4th year at the nursery and I have spent three years studying with no regrets whatsoever. My fascination about plants grows each day and I can proudly say horticulture is a true passion of mine.
Horticulturist
Fran
My passion for plants started when I was a kid running through my grandma’s tropical garden in South Africa, and has led me into the last six years working as a Horticulturist alongside the best people here at Greengold Nursery. The connections one makes through sharing garden ideas, tips, tricks, or even just having a good, old-fashioned chat are something special, and has taught me so much along the way. I adore woodland plants and cottage flowers!

Brendan
I have spent my life being fascinated by plants and nature, and this has inspired me to dedicate my career to horticulture and creating beautiful gardens. I have a strong interest in permaculture, landscape design and sustainability. I take a creative and pragmatic approach to garden design while also trying to build beautiful spaces that can be enjoyed by everyone. I enjoy the challenge of trying to find the right plant for difficult spaces and I am eager to hear about your garden.

Jack
Plants and gardening are only new to my life, but have brought me great joy, a sense of calm spirituality and pleasure. I began gardening at the start of lockdown, alongside my grandma who taught me the fundamentals, which opened my eyes to the delicate and fulfilling art that it is. I pushed my foot in Greengold Nursery’s door, remembering the times I would visit Gold Creek as a child, and have never been happier to be surrounded by the amazing comradery of our team, and loyal customers. I love greenhouse gardening and European cottage gardens. I graduated college with a passion for media and film which has helped me create Australian-known and loved social media platforms for Greengold Nursery.
Horticulturist
Jacqueline
I have loved plants and gardening since I was a child. My first job was as the waterer at a nursery in Sydney when I was 16. I have worked in nurseries in Canberra since 1999. I have a Bachelor of Horticulture and have taught horticulture at CIT for 16 years. I love working at Greengold Nursery and have been here since 2011. I really enjoy talking with the nursery customers about all things horticultural. My favourite flower is the Delphinium.

Jo
Hi, I’m Jo, and I’ve been part of Greengold Nursery since 2014. With a Certificate II in Horticulture, I love being surrounded by plants and people who share a passion for gardening. My personal favourites are formal gardens, with their symmetry, hedging, and timeless elegance—spaces that feel peaceful and restorative. Outside the nursery, I enjoy tending my own garden, cooking, hosting dinners, and gathering inspiration from Country Style magazines. Blessed with a wonderful husband and three beautiful daughters, I look forward to sharing my love of gardens and helping you bring your planting vision to life.
